About Us

Michael Shroyer

Mike has been involved in ministry since 1994 when he began working at a Christian camp in upstate NY. In 1999, Mike was brought onto the staff of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA (Andy Stanley, Senior Pastor) to work in the children’s ministry and later, the middle school ministry. At North Point, Mike helped develop the systems that govern the ministries, create new programs and events, lead volunteers and was involved with program and curriculum development.

Since 2006, Mike has been on staff at three churches in children’s and family ministry roles. His primary responsibilities were to provide direct leadership for children’s ministry, oversee the staff and development of the ministries that serve kids ages birth through 12th grade, and develop the curriculum used in the weekly kids’ program and special events.

As Director of Wide Open Ministries, Mike pursues contract work from other organizations, produces resources and provides direction for this non-profit organization that seeks to help equip churches and families to grow together. As Director of Cre8 Church, Mike provides leadership for this family-centered ministry that seeks to help families worship, grow and stay together.

Ami Sandstrom Shroyer

Ami has been involved in ministry since 1990 as a singer/songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader. She has performed concerts and shared her talents in worship services, camps, conferences, retreats, women’s events, schools and other special events. Ami served as the Children’s Music Coordinator at North Point Community Church in three different ministry environments, leading children ages 1 to 14 and equipping adult worship leaders. She’s taught music classes and private voice lessons independently and at different schools and art academies for grades 1 through 12. Along with leading kids in worship, she has directed choirs, musicals, choreography and studio sessions.

Starting in 1999, Ami began writing articles on children’s worship for Integrity Music’s website and served as the Children’s Worship Coordinator for the Shout Praises Kids series. One of Ami’s original songs, Trust in the Lord, was included on Shout to the Lord Kids and was also sung by Jaci Velasquez on Point of Grace’s compilation CD, Girls of Grace. Both recordings received Dove Award nominations. Ami partnered with Brentwood Benson Music to produce The Wide Open Project, Songs for Kids Inspired by Kids. Through music, resource books, devotions & DVDs, The Wide Open Project is designed to inspire kids and equip leaders to help create a dynamic worship environment within their music and choir programs. Later, She partnered with Group Publishing to offer motion DVDs to go along with their Living Inside Out curriculum series and has written on the subject of children’s worship for Children’s Ministry Magazine. Together, Mike and Ami wrote and produced two musicals for LifeWay Christian Resources, iHope Christmas and The Word Connection.

Ami continues to write and produce music in both the adult and kids’ arenas while partnering with churches and organizations in the development of resources and event support. Her latest CD, 40,000 Reasons is available now. Ami also serves as the Creative Director of Cre8 Church – a family-centered ministry that exists to offer shared experiences while allowing for truth to be explored individually – which is part of their overall ministry, Wide Open Ministries.
